You meet the darndest people there! This picture was taken in 1995. You know...it's the funniest thing...he looked like John Wayne but the Australian accent sure didn't fit! I also got a picture with my girlfriend from Vegas and three BIG View Sonic birds! And a badge that plays bird chirps. I brought home about eight new T-shirts so I could advertise for everybody. Gee, what more could I ask? Well, I'll tell you. I **WON** a Supra Data/Fax 28.8 Modem. Then I **WON** Microsoft Office Professional with Bookshelf, on CD, for Windows 95. Then I **WON** a full colof QuikCam and I love it. I made Photo ID badges for my grandkids and made them "honorary members" of my car club, Cool Runnin' Camaros.
Even more important, I saw new technology, new products and learned many things about the new software just coming out. When I took MS Office Professional home, that complete package was not even on the store shelves yet. It is exciting at COMDEX. I was told that if you spent just 2 minutes at each booth at COMDEX, starting when they open at 10:00 A.M. Monday morning, didn't miss any time through the week right up to 4:00 P.M. Friday night, you would not be able to see everything at COMDEX. I didn't believe it until the first show I attended. Plus each booth has more than you can see in 2 minutes. If you've never been there, try it!
Update 1998 --- Another five days at Comdex. Another great show! We saw a lot and did everything. I just thought you might enjoy a picture I got this year. Agfa's promotional was to wear an Agfa box with a picture of a Borg (Resistance is Futile) in order to possibly win a digital camera and/or scanner. My friend Jeannie was determined to win and for goodness sakes!...She did **WIIN** a great Agfa scanner.
